Woolcott Alvord, born 3 Aug 1773 in Lanesborough, Massachusetts, was a son of John Alvord and Relief Crosby.

He married 8 jan 1794 @ Ferrisburg, Vermont, Sarah Dunham [b. 9 Jun 1770 @ Wilbraham, Massachusetts; d. Jul 1846 @ Chateaugay, New York]. They had 12 children, their first four born in New Haven, Vermont; their next 7 born in Chateaugay, New York; their final child born in Mooers, New York:
