Biography

Sarah Alvord, born 24 Jun 1660 in Windsor, Connecticut, was the seventh child of Mary (Vore) Alvord (abt.1630-abt.1676) and Alexander Alvord (abt.1627-1687).

In about 1661 her birth family sold their lands in Connecticut and moved to the new settlement of Northampton, Massachusetts, so from that point forward Sarah and her siblings who had been born in Windsor resided in Northampton.

She married 10 Jul 1689 James Warriner [b. 21 Nov 1640 @ Springfield, Massachusetts; d. 14 May 1727 @ Springfield], as his second wife. They had 6 children, born at Springfield:

  1. Sarah (Warriner) Thomas (1690-aft.1728); married Ebenezer Thomas
  2. Jonathan Warriner; married Mercy Burnham; d. 1745, French & Indian War
  3. John Warriner (29 Nov 1694 - 20 May 1696)
  4. John Warriner, b. Jan 1696; died young
  5. Benjamin Warriner (1698-1764); married Mercy Bartlett
  6. David Warriner (1701-abt.1791); married 9 Feb 1738 Mary Sikes

This family resided in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Sarah (Alvord) Warriner died 16 May 1704 at Springfield, Massachusetts [1].
