Jacobus wrote his Will 7 Apr 1795 and it was proved 7 Dec 1800 in Bergen County. It names his wife Annaetje, daughters Margritje, Catrintje, Zantje, Rachel, Sufia, and Sally, grandson James Bogart (son of Sufia), and granddaughter Petertje.[4]
His headstone inscription at Westwood Cemetery, Westwood, Bergen County, New Jersey reads:[11]
