Albert Fortunato Amadio was born on 11th April 1877 at Aston, Warwickshire, England.[1][2]
He was the third child and second son of Antonio Amadio and Frances Phipps.
He migrated to New Zealand with his family, arriving on 3rd January 1879 aboard the Fernglen.[3]
He married Marie Louise (Tarr) Amadio on 26th December 1899 at Karori, Wellington, New Zealand.[4]
He died at his residence in Tararu road, Thames, Waikato, New Zealand, on 23rd February 1953.[5][6]
From his older sister, Mrs. Lucy Coltman: "Albert Fortunato Amadio was born 11 Apr 1876 at Bracebridge at Aston, Duddeston, Warwick England to Fortunato Antonio Amadio and Frances Caroline Phipps. He was their third child and second son. According to his older sister Mrs. Lucy Coltman, he was a fat healthy and smiling child. Before he reached the age of three his parents emigrated to Wellington, New Zealand on the sailing ship Fern Glen. My father was idealized by the sailors."
