Note Sarah Amadon is given different middle names in different records such as Ruby, Regina, Rosina, and Raeina. She was born Oct 27, 1842 although her tombstone says Oct 28, 1842. Sarah Amadon, died Nov. 16, 1922, and is also buried at Holy Trinity Cemetery. Sarah Amadon's father's name was Charles Reily Amadon. Charles Reily Amadon was born April 9, 1814, and was the first male child born at New Ireland, Megantic County, Quebec. He was baptized Charles Reily Emadon on March 14, 1826 (Reg. 68, "Travelling Missionary Records of 1826 for the Mission of Ireland). He married Agnes McCartney, who was born on Aug. 20, 1820 at Peaslee, Scotland. She was the daughter of George McCartney who brought his family across the Atlantic on a Sailing ship from Glasgow Scotland which took over ten weeks. Charles Reily Amadon lived in 1861 on Concession 5, Lot 8, Ireland Township, Megantic County (37 acres). Charles Reily Amadon died Apr. 23, 1898 and Agnes died Jan. 29, 1905, both being buried at Holy Trinity Church Cemetery, Maple Grove, Quebec. Charles and Agnes Amadon had ten children: Sarah R. (born Oct. 22 or 28, 1842), Agnes (born Jan. 6, 1844), Henry Charles (born Nov. 20, 1846), George M. (born Sep. 14, 1848), Jane E. (born Oct. 31, 1850), Philena (born Mar 4, 1853), John (born Feb. 15, 1855), James (born Apr. 11, 1856), and Samuel R. (born Jan. 24, 1858) and Martha Harriet Amadon (born Feb. 16, 1862). The Amadon Family Association has headquarters in the U.S.
