Samuel was the third child of a located six children in his family. He was baptised on 28 September 1777 at St Mary the Virgin, Dennington in Suffolk [1] [2]
Samuel married Ann Lloyd in about 1801.
Tragically, Ann died in childbirth when their first baby was born in 1801. Samuel, the son, survived for only a few months.
In the 1841 census [3] Samuel is a tailor in Debenham, still seemingly a widower.
Samuel died in 1845 in Debenham, aged 67, and was buried at St Mary Magdalene in Debenham, Suffolk [4].
