Caroline Ambelang was born on 13 February 1883, in Benton Township, Lucas, Iowa, United States, her father, Carl Frederick Franz Ambelang, was 36 and her mother, Bertha Wilhelmine Begerow , was 32. She married Bert Everett Sellers on 4 October 1905, in Lucas, Iowa, United States. ^[1] They were the parents of at least 1 son and 2 daughters. She lived in Lucas, Iowa, United States in 1905 and Jackson Township, Benton, Iowa, United States in 1925. She died on 12 February 1968, in Chariton, Lucas, Iowa, United States, at the age of 84,^[2] and was buried in Chariton Cemetery, Section N Row 21 N-S Grave 16. THE CHARITON LEADER

Chariton, Iowa, Tuesday, February 27, 1968.

SELLERS - Caroline Sellers, daughter of Frank and Bertha Bergerow Ambelang, was born on February 13, 1883, and passed away at the Riggs Nursing Home on Feb. 12, 1968, one day before reaching her 85th birthday. She had entered the nursing home only the day before, after a lingering illness at the family home.

On Oct. 4, 1905, she was united in marriage to Bert Sellers and to this union three children were born, all of whom survive. They are: one son, Leo B. Sellers and wife Vienetta, of Chariton; and two daughters, Vera Sellers, of the family home, and Mrs. Mildred Blizzard and husband Millard, of Lacona.

She is also survived by three sisters: Mrs. Bertha Sellers of Chariton, Mrs. Agnes Mitchell, of Beloit, Wis., and Mrs. Martha Roberts, of Chariton; one brother, Will Ambelang, of Neilsville, Wix.; four grandchildren, Thomas B. Blizzard, Richard Blizzard, Dean Sellers, Jewell Trumbo; three great-grandchildren; a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bert, one granddaughter, Leta Sellers, four sister, Anna Brock, Alice Campbell and two who died in infancy, two brothers, Fred and Frank Ambelang.

Services were held Thursday, Feb. 15, at 2 p.m., at the Miley-Brueggemann Chapel with the Rev. E. J. Berreth officiating. Interment was at the Chariton cemetery.
