Georgiana was born in 1847. She is the daughter of Charles Ambler and Mary Elizabeth Curtiss.

Joseph Lake Curtiss 7 (Andrew, Nathaniel, Nathaniel, Zachariah, William, Widow Elizabeth) b. Feb. 6, 1795, m. Mar. 18, 1818 Hannah Salmon b. Mar. 20, 1781, d. May 1, 1853 dau. of Daniel and Hannah (Beach) Salmon. He d. Jan. 23, 1879. They had:
1. Ammi Salmon 8, b. Mar. 21, 1819.
2. Mary Elizabeth 8, b. May 12, 1820, d. Feb. 28, 1906, m. Oct. 22, 1844 Charles Ambler, b. Mar. 21, 1821, d. Apr. 22, 1899, son of Franklin Pickett and Tabitha Eliza (Barteleme) Ambler. He was associated with his father in the manufacture of saddle trees. Children:
(1) Georgiana Frances, b. Mar. 17, 1847.
(2) Richard Charles, b. Aug. 31, 1853.
3. Ransom D. 8, b. May 22, 1824.
4. William Tweedy 8, b. Sept. 10, 1826.
5. Eliza Betsey 8, b. Oct. 27, 1828, d. Oct.1, 1859.
6. Hannah 8, b. June 29, 1831, d. Dec. 16, 1839.
7. Joseph Lake, Jr. 8, b. June 25, 1833.
