Jacob was born 05 Dec 1802 in Westmoreland Co., Pennsylvania, USA.[1] He married Susan (Susana) Felgar and had eight children with her. Jacob farmed all his life in the vicinity of the Pleasant Grove churches.[2][3]
Sometime after Susan's death, Jacob married Maria Lucetta (Addy) Roper, born ca. 1803, the widow of Joseph Roper. She had six grown children.
Jacob died intestate 14 Jun 1881. When his son, Edwin, petitioned the Court two years later for settlement of Jacob's estate, he and William received the land, 103 acres cut uby three roads, paying off the other heirs. Maria received the interest of $125 during her lifetime. She lived to be 94, dying 14 Mar 1896 in Alton, Illinois.
