Henry Victor Ambrosini, 49-year-old Ferndale reisdent, died in a Fortuna hospital Wednesday morning.
He was born near Bear River September 12, 1907. He was a prominent Ferndale businessman and had operated the Ivanhoe for the past six years.
Ambrosini was a member of the Druid Lodge of Ferndale, Native Sons, Eel River Valley Grange, Humboldt Swiss Club, and the Ferndale volunteer fire department.
He is survived by his wife, Nora; daughter, Sharon Goldsmith, Eureka; four brothers, Walter, Bear River; Archie, Crannell; Weston and Earl, Ferndale; five sisters, Mary McDonald and Sadie Fay, Palo Alto; Flora Evans, Clara Head and Luela Lee, Fortuna; two grandchildren, David and Michael Goldsmith, Eureka.
Rosary will be recited Friday evening at 8 p.m. at the Citizen's Mortuary, Ferndale. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. from the chapel of Citizen's Mortuary. The Rev. Daniel McCarthy will officiate. Graveside services will be conducted by members of the Druid Lodge and interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Eureka.[1]
