Biography

Jan Jansz married Geerjte Dircks. They probably married in Oldenburg, probably in the mid-1640s. Their son was Dirck Janse Ammerman.

Jan Jansz died in about 1648. In the April 1649 record of the banns for her subsequent marriage, Geertje Dircks is identified as the widow of Jan Jansz de Vries ("Jan Janse the Frisian"), suggesting that he was from Ostfriesland.

Research Notes

LNAB is Jansz, from the record of his wife's banns for her next marriage.
