Biography

Gladys Ella May Amies, known as Ella, was born on September 11, 1912,^[1] in Oamaru, Otago, New Zealand. She was the daughter of Albert Charles Amies and Annie Jane Ferguson.^[2][3]

Ella married Thomas William Dickson on April 23, 1947, at the Baptist Church, Hamilton.^[3] They adopted William (Bill) Dickson and together they had the following children: Richard Dickson; Patricia (Pat) Dickson; Thomas (Tom) Dickson.

She died on November 2, 1992, after a long illness at Cantabria Hospital, Rotorua.^[1][4][5]

Her ashes are buried in Tokoroa Cemetery.^[6]
