Biography

Gladys Ella May Amies, known as Ella, was born on September 11, 1912,[1] in Oamaru, Otago, New Zealand. She was the daughter of Albert Charles Amies and Annie Jane Ferguson.[2][3]

Ella married Thomas William Dickson on April 23, 1947, at the Baptist Church, Hamilton.[3] They adopted William (Bill) Dickson and together they had the following children: Richard Dickson; Patricia (Pat) Dickson; Thomas (Tom) Dickson.

She died on November 2, 1992, after a long illness at Cantabria Hospital, Rotorua.[1][4][5]

Her ashes are buried in Tokoroa Cemetery.[6]
