Biography

Étienne Amiot dit Villeneuve was born on 9 July 1710 in Saint-Augustin de Desmaures, Canada, Nouvelle-France, son of Étienne Amiot and Jeanne Campagna. He was baptized there the following day. [1]

At the age of 21 years old, Étienne married Marie-Anne Poitras (21) daughter of Jean Poidras and Marie Anne de La Voye, on 13 August 1731 in Saint-Augustin de Desmaures. Their children were:
