Jacques Amirault was born approximately 1757 in Massachusetts Bay. His father settled in Pubnico once they returned to Nova Scotia. Jacques married Venerante d'Entremont and settled in Amiraults Hill, the community which was named in his honour. He was listed as a witness at his fathers death on April 30, 1827.[1] He was alive as of February 27, 1838, the date of her daugher Marie's wedding.[2] He was alive as of March 24, 1840, when he and his wife made their mark on several deeds transferring land to their sons.[3]
