Polly Ann "Anna" Ammerman was born March 15, 1782 in Washington County, Maryland. She was the daughter of Philip Ammerman and Mary Hibler. She married William Simpson May 8, 1797. Through the years they lived in New Jersey, the Finger Lakes area in upstate New York and finally in Indiana.
"Anna" passed away March 12, 1857 in Warren County, Indiana and is buried there in the West Lebanon Cemetery.
"Anna" and Philip had nine children:
