Biography

Lois was born on the 11th Sept 1918 to Charles AMON and Ivy Elva nee COBINE in Manageri , Auckland.

Lois was one of 6 children. Her old oldest sibling Edgar was born in Alton and then Roy in Hawera, Taranaki. At some point before 1921, the family move back to ALton from Auckland and Charles is working as a Lorry Contractor.

The family moves again, this time to Papatoetoe where Lois's brother George is born in 1920.

In 1921 the family are back in Taranaki where the next sibling is born, that being Nola in 1921.

By April 1929, the family where living in Motomahu, Waikato, back on a farm. (see papers past article about placing bets for the races for that date).

In Oct 1931, Elva the last sibling of Lois is born and the family are back in Papatoetoe.

The family made a final move to Whitikau in the Waikato and bought a farm in Whitikahu.
