The first mention that we have of Andre is in 1715 in the the will of Andre Aubry (abt.1660-1715), naming his godson, Andre Amonet, son of Jacob.

Item, I give and bequeath to my Godson, Andre Amonet, the sum of four pounds ? on Jacob Amonet, his father for use of all amount till the day and beside the third part in all my goods and Chattles which shall be found after my death, moveable and unmoveable in what part of the world, soever it exist. [1]

The next mention of Andre Amonett is in 1720, when he is listed as tithable for the first time. [2] Boys became tithable in Colonial Virginia at the age of sixteen. [3]

Andrew (24) married Jeanne Morriset (33) (born on June 23, 1695 in Arcomps, France; daughter of Pierre Morissett and Elizabeth (Faure) Morrisett) in 1729 in Manakin, Henrico, Virginia. Their children were:

In Elizabeth Faure's Morriset's will she makes Andrew (her son-in-law) the executor of her estate.[4] 17 Dec 1746

Shortly before Andrew's death, he and his son Charles (referred to as Charles Jr. so as to not confuse him with his uncle Charle Amonnet (abt.1713-)), sell to Andrew's son William 100 acres for just 12 p.

Andrew died after September 2, 1761 in Chesterfield County, Colony of Virginia, aged about 56.

Amonett-8 and Amonette-48 appear to represent the same person because: Suggest AMONETTE is the correct LNAB as this would be the original French spelling and he was born in France. clear duplicate
