He is buried at the Gates/Van Sanvoord lot at Vale Cemetery, Schenectady, New York; Abiah, married William Griffis/Griffith on 27 Jan 1756; Charity, baptized 16 Feb 1742/1743, married Seth Jervis/Jarvis on 20 June 1762; Milleson, b. 1746; Naomi married John Reuland/Rowland on 8 Jun 1761; and William, married Magaret McRaa? in CT....may not be the William who married Margaret.

Anne Amos Gates' son Stephen Gates lived in the Saratoga District, Albany County, New York from 1775 - 1779.He and his family allowed American forces to use their home during the Battles of Saratoga (1777)....He also served with Albany County Militia, 13th Regiment, as a volunteer scout.[2]
