Biography
When Helen Amos was born on March 24, 1782, in Heriot, Midlothian[1], her father, James, was 32 and her mother, Helen, was 32. She married Robert Bertram on May 28, 1803, in Whittingehame, East Lothian[2]. They had seven children in 13 years. She died in 1827 in Haddington, Haddingtonshire, at the age of 45, being buried on 30 August.
