Research Notes
The marriage of Abraham Amos and Isabella Cock[7] gives the groom's parents' names: Thomas and Amy. The 1851,[4] 1861,[5] and 1871 [6] censuses give East Langdon as his birth place and the 1861 and 1871 censuses both give an estimated birth date of 1821. (The 1851 census gives his age as 38, which would give an estimated birth date of 1819.) There is a baptismal record for an Abraham Amos on 7 Apr 1821 in East Langdon, whose parents are Thomas Amos and Amy.[1]
