"The Amos family arrived in Tasmania in March 1821 aboard the Emerald, and were advised to look for land on the unsettled east coast."[1][2]

DIED—On Thursday, the 16th instant, at Glen Gala, Great Swan Port, Adam Amos, sen., aged 73.[3]

Adam Amos senior, died at on Thursday, the 16th 1845t, at Glen Gala, Great Swan Port, aged 73 [4]. A fairly unreadable will exists [5] He died of dropsy, aged 71 [6]
