Charles J. Amos was born about 1813 in Franklin County, Virginia, and died 12 APR 1861 in Winfield, Putnam (then Mason) County, (West) Virginia. He married Jane Emmiretta Morrison 15 AUG 1834 in Gallia County, Ohio. His occupation in the 1850 U.S. Federal Census is listed as a Ferryman.
