Margaret was the first wife of William Stewart Hall, married 29 Oct 1855 in Marion County, Virginia.[1]
In the 1860 Census for Danvers, McLean, Illinois, Margaret Hall is enumerated as the head of household, age 25, b. VA, occupation blacksmith. Her children, born in Illinois, are Virginia Hall, age 3 and Homer Hall, age 2. Then the fourth person in the family is William Hall age 35 b VA. Evidently the census taker mixed up what line Margaret was supposed to go on.[2]
She was the mother of Virginia Rose Hall and Charles Homer Hall. Virginia, her daughter, appears in the 1870 Census for McLean County, Illinois.
Her husband, William Stewart Hall, remarried to Harriet E. Artis in 1865 in McLean County, Illinois.
A Margaret Amos, b. 1834 in Virginia, is living with the family of Mordecai and Elizabeth Amos in 1850 in Marshall County, Virginia.[3]
