Biography

Madison T Amos was born on January 17, 1869, in Alabama. He had one son and three daughters with May C Buchanan. He died on January 17, 1946, in San Francisco, California, at the age of 77.[1]

Matt Amos, Former City Resident, Dies In San Francisco Matt Amos, 77, former prominent San Bernardino real estate developer, died yesterday in San Francisco, where he had made his home for the past nine years. Mr. Amos with his brother, the late Jim Amos, was instrumental in bringing to San Bernardino more than 20 years ago subdivides of north end property, including the Reid-Sweeny Co. Mr. Amos, who with his wife, Mrs. May Amos, operated a large apartment building in San Francisco, had been ill for several years.

Besides his widow Mr. Amos is survived by a son, Donald Amos, who is attending medical school in St. Louis, and three daughters, Miss Avrilla Amos and Mrs. Harry Kallijian of San Francisco, and Mrs. William Black. Funeral services will be held in San Bernardino, arrangements for which will be announced later.[2]
