OBIT; Columbus Dispatch Amos, Edward (Doc) B. age 68, of 952 S.High St. died Saturday. Survived by wife Marie (Rounds) Amos,; 2 sons, William of Powell, Ohio and Otto (Jack) of Columbus, Ohio; 1 daughter, Mrs. Ellen Waliza of Circleville, Ohio. 1 brother Leonard of Chillicothe, Ohio; 14 grandchildren. Friends may call at Woodyard Co. Funeral Home, 1346 S. High St. where the service will be held Tuesday at 1:30PM. Burial at Glen Rest Cemetery by the O.R. Woodyard.

Born to Phillip and Margaret (Hoyland) Amos in Chillicothe, Ohio. He was a patent medicine manufacturer, his flagship product was "Red Cloud's Indian Oil". It was good for all kinds of peculiar aches and pains was the claim. He traveled all over the state peddling those wares. Wherever he could gather a crowd (fairs, festivals, ect...). He would also use a booth "what is it? name it if you can". The animal one would pay a nickle to see and name it if you can was a ring tail lemur. Then after you saw the animal you would get his sales pitch.

Had 4 children with his 1st wife Daisy May Saultz in Chillicothe, Ohio. Ed was married 3 times. He and his 2nd wife Maggie lived in Springfield, Ohio. He and 3rd wife Marie (Rounds) lived in Columbus.
