Elinor Jane Growcock, 92, of Elkhart, died Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at East Lake Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Jane was born January 6, 1922 to Chester B and Nina M. (Horn) Amsden in Goshen. On August 16, 1941 she married Richard Growcock. He preceded her in death on October 6, 2004.
Jane is survived by daughters Susan D. Growcock and Sandra L. Grove (Ben), both of Elkhart, 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Richard J. Growcock, sisters, Ethel Newcomer, Evelyn Madlem, Mary Lou Stump, and Doris Yohn, brothers, Chester, William, Donald, Arthur, and Bernard Amsden.
Jane graduated from Elkhart Business College in 1940. She worked at CTS for 18 years, until retiring in 1970. She and Dick traveled in their Air Stream until settling in Winter Garden, Florida.
