He married Mary Ann "Anna" Nussbaum 23 May 1861, in Berne, Adams County, Indiana (by Peter S Lehman). He then married Elizabeth Sommer in 1874, in Indiana. Christian Ulrich Amstutz passed away 22 Aug 1924, in Berne, Adams County, Indiana, at the age of 84, and was buried in the
Hilty Cemetery, in Adams County, Indiana.[1][2][3]
