Obituary
Obituary for Mrs Kari Pederson published May 9 1930 in The Roseau Times-Region, entitled "County Pioneer Dies At Greenbush".
"County Pioneer Dies at Greenbush
Last Monday, April 28th, another of our old pioneer ladies was summoned. Mrs. Kari Pederson was born in Guldbransdalen, Norway, Feb. 5, 1841. She was married to Amund Pederson and in 1887 together with her husband and children they migrated to America. In 1895 they moved to Roseau county and homesteaded in Deer township where they were among the first settlers.
Sixteen years ago her husband died and since that time she has made her home with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Syver Haugtvedt. Seven shildren were born to this union of which six survive, namely: Amund and Thorvald of Wisconsin; Christian and John of Canada; Gena (Mrs. Syver Haugtvedt) and Anna (Mrs. Otto Foss) of Greenbush.
Mrs. Kari Pederson was a highly respected woman whom every one who had the privilege of knowing her can say she was one that had done her life's work well.
Funeral services were conducted at Greenbush last Friday by Rev. M. Peterson --Greenbush Tribune"
