Antoinette Ancher, born 28 August 1713 in Land and buried 30 June 1778 in Norderhov, the daughter of the parish priest to Land, Bernt Ancher and Karen Tanch. [1]
Antoinette was married to Hans Sverdrup on 30 August 1731 in Land.[2] They were the parents of seven children, one of whom died as an infant.
After her husband's death, she continued as a widow the operation of Hakedal's ironworks, partly with her son-in-law Moe as head of the business, but it went downhill quickly under extremely unfortunate dispositions, and it ended with a thorough bankruptcy 18 August 1772. While the assets amounted to 28,736 rd, debt and expenses ran up 101691 rdl, which produced a net loss of 72955 rdl. [3]
Her last five years she spent in her daughter and son-in-law joined Dorph's home in Norderhov, where she was involved with much devotion and found loving care for many years of heavy admonitions, on which daughter Karen has reported in her records. 7 children.[4]
Her daughter, Karen, recalled the time her mother went to live with Antoinette Dorph, the wife of Christian Dorph. "My mother had kept the bed for 13 days this gave my youngest sister, Antoinette Dorph, the opportunity to travel to her while her husband was in business. I know of my mother's trials when I had taken care of my housework I am in no doubt the work understands when my constitution, while knowing something, meets my sick mother in a coach, surrounded with pillows with 2 guests and 3 men to leave the house, children and salt not a distressed distinction with sign, in 58 the years after so stated prosperity days. At this meeting none of us spoke a word, she had to leave when Bergamted awoke 2 hours later, my sister had to be so fast as possible to be fought with her little daughter to catch up with my mother to care for her and get her to her house, which is 7 miles from there. Now her husband would soon join them. Before his homecoming, my sister wrote to him. When he came home he received my deprived mother with so much joy that she gave him barrels of guild , hand made her so comfortable as faint for 5 years, so God called her and he made her an honorable departure on June 30, 1778 ."
She died June 1778 in Norderhov at the age of 65 and was buried in the church graveyard there on 30 june 1778.[5]
Antonette Anker skal være født 30. Aug. 1713, søndre Land i Oppland, og var gift med kammerråd Hans Nielsen Sverdrup, ( 1697 - 1759) født i Vang, Hedemark. Senere eier av Hakadals Jernverk, de hadde sønnen Bernt Anker Sverdrup (1734 - 1809) som var fetter til Iver, Peder, Bernt og Jess ( Christiansønner) Anker (Ancher) Altså er hun søster av Christian ( Berntsøn) Anker (1711 - 1765)
