He married Marie Therese Antonneau on September 14, 1855 in Nethen, Belgium. They had 7 children: Victor Anciaux, Maximilien Joseph Anciaux, Marie Leontine Philomene (Anciaux) Vanweddingen, Marie Josephine (Anciaux) Bourguignon, Marie Josephine Leontine (Anciaux) Vanderespt, Marie Therese (Anciaux) Blanche, and Marie Justine (Anciaux) Bourguignon. He passed away on October 23, 1907 in Nethen, Belgium at age 76.
