Jean was born on July 25, 1769 in Nethen, Belgium to Jean & Sabine Anciaux. He married Anne-Marie Botton on January 24, 1796 in Nethen, Belgium. They had five children: Anne Marie (Anciaux) Paye, Marie Josephe (Anciaux) Binard, Eloi Jean-Baptiste Anciaux, Jean Baptiste Anciaux, and Honore Joseph Anciaux. He passed away on May 7, 1854 in Nethen, Belgium.
