ANDELA-SLAGER The, wedding of Miss Jean Slager , daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marinus Slager of Rollstone Avenue, West Sayville, to Peter J Andela, son of Mr. and Mrs. Nick Andela of Clifton, N. J., took place yesterday (Thursday) in the Christian Reformed Church, the Rev . Harold IBossenbroek and the Rev. Bouma officiating. The organist was Mrs. Harold Battjes, the bride's sister, and the soloist John Van Essendelft . The church was decorated with summer bouquets. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of white organdy, a fingertip veil and a seed pearl tiara. She carried a bouquet of white roses. The maid of honor was Miss Dorothy Wielsma of Imlay City, Mich., who wore a blue organdy dress similar to the bride's , a sweetheart picture hat and carried a bouquet of yellow roses. The best man was Andrew Andela, the brother of the groom. The bride's mother wore a dress of navy blue lace, as also did the mother of the groom. They both wore corsages of yellow roses. The ushers were James Slager, brother of the bride, and Louis Andela of Goshen, N. Y., brother of the groom. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the West Sayville Christian School for about 100 guests. The bride is a graduate of Sayville High School and Calvin College, Grand Rapids. Mich, and has been a teacher In the West Sayville Christian School for the past two years. The groom is a graduate of Passaic Christian School, and is a mason by trade. The young couple are on a wedding trip through upper New York State after which they will make their home in Passaic , N . J.

Services were yesterday (17 Jan) for Peter Andela, a former resident of Clifton, N.J., who died Saturday (14 Jan) in his home. He was 46. He was a member of the Richfield Grange and the Masonic lodge of Utica. He was a member of the Richfield Springs Bible Church. He had been employed as a mason. Surviving are his wife, Jean Slager Andela; two sons, James of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Jeffrey, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Alan Baker of Richfield Springs and Barbara Andela of Grand Rapids; his father, Nicholas of Clifton; three brothers, Andrew and Richard of Wayne and Walter of West Winfield, N.J.; and three sisters. Agnes Kuiken of West Sayville. N.Y., Gertrude Style of Sunapee, New Hampshire, and Jane Appello of Gainesville, Fla. The service was in the Richfield Springs Bible Church. (OCR interpretation)

The Suffolk County news., January 26, 1978, Page 21 Peter Andela, 46, of Richfield Springs, died suddenly January 14. Mr. Andela was a charter member of the Richfield Springs Bible Church. At the time of his death be was an active member of the church. He is survived by his wife, Jean (nee Slager); his children, James of Grand Rapids, Mich., June Baker of Richfield Springs, Barbara of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Jeffrey of Richfield Springs; his sisters, Mrs. Agnes Kuiken of West Sayville and Mrs. Gertrude Style of Sunapee, N.H., formerly of West Sayville, and other sisters and brothers not residing in this area. Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 17, in the Richfield Springs Bible Church, with Rev. Allan R. Viviona officiating. Interment will be later in Twilight Rest Cemetery.
