Biography

Guri was born 9 December 1848 at Sauherad, the daughter of Anders Jacobsen and Gunhild Larsdatter. She was baptized 17 December 1848 at the Sauherad Church.^[1]

She married Torbjørn Høljesen Øya 16 December 1875 at Sauherad.^[2] They were the parents of seven children, three of whom died as infants or young children.

She died 11 August 1890 at Sauherad from complications of giving birth to her last child, Guri. She was 41 years of age at her death. Her remains were buried 18 August 1890 at Sauherad.^[3]
