Inger Maria was born in 1796 at Hegna under Veholt, Solum.[1] She was the daughter of Anders Nielsen Hegna and Sara Reiersdatter.[1]
In the 1801 census at Veholt, Solum, the 5 years old Inger Andersdatter is listed in the household of Niels Jonsen and Inger Andersdatter as fosterdatter.[2]
She was confirmed on 5 April 1812 in Solum.[3]
