Biography
Tore Andersdatter was born in Norway
Tore was born about 1691 (see Research Notes below).[1] She was the daughter of Anders Larsen Ytterbø and Gunhild Evensdatter Ytterbø.[2]
She married Jan Bjørnsen on 30 August 1722 in Holla.[3]
She died in 1750 at Ulefoss Jernverk, Holla.[1]
One child is known:
- Anders Jansen, born in 1723.[4] Died young.
Research Notes
Her age at burial in 1750 is stated as 69 years, which implies a birtth year of 1681. There are however, good reasons to believe that this age is off by ten years, and should be 59 years instead.
- In the probate after her mother she is mentioned last of the children, after her sister Ragnhild who was born about 1689.
- A birth year of 1681 also conflicts with the children of her mother's previous marriage, where the youngest was born about 1683.
- Finally, her husband was apparently born about 1698. A birth year of 1691 at least puts them as born in the same decade.
