Notes
- Note N12
- At the time of the 1920 census they lived at 4814 Seventh Avenue, Brooklyn, New York.
- The census records say that she immigrated in 1910 and wasn't a naturalized citizen at the time of the census.
- The Ellis Island records show she arrived 13 April 1910 from Christiania (Oslo) on the Oscar II as a steerage passenger. She is listed as “Endresen,Aselia”. She was going to live with her brother, probably Tønnes Endresen, and listed her occupation as servant. Tønnes lived at 566 Henry Street, Brooklyn. (I couldn’t find this on a map.)
- She said she was from Flaksvatn, Birkenes, Norway, where her mother Odine still lived.
- She was 5’ 5” tall, with fair hair and blue eyes.
- Her death certificate (#17668) was issued by the Borough of Brooklyn in the name of Celia Bensen. At the time of her death she had been living at 5715 Fort Hamilton Pkwy, Brooklyn for 10 years. She died of cancer of the uterus and generalized metastasis.[3][4]
