Niels Andersen was born in Denmark

Niels Moller Andersen was born on 11 May 1823 in Veng, Skanderborg, Aarhus, Denmark. He was the son of Anders Adamsen and Ane Sophie Christiansdatter. He was baptised the same day.[1][2]

Niels was confirmed in 1838 in Veng, Skanderborg.[3]

On 16 December 1848, he married Mette Jensdatter in Skanderborg, Aarhus, Denmark.[4]

Niels and Mette had four sons and three daughters:

  1. Ane Sophie Andersen m Soren Peter Mogensen
  2. Ane Mette Andersen died young
  3. Jensine Andersen m Niels Sorensen
  4. Anders Nielsen m Ane Marie Hansen
  5. Jens Nielsen m Kristina Jonsdotter, migrated to USA
  6. Anton Martinus Nielsen m Emily Skipper, migrated to Australia
  7. Jens Christian Nielsen

In the census year of 1860, his occupation was a smith.[5]

Niels died on 11 September 1864 in Storring, Framlev, Aarhus, Denmark. His wife Mette remarried after his death.
