On 6 September 1852 in Springfield Township, he married Mary Jane Wible,[1] daughter of John David Wible and Susannah Glunt.[2]
On 7 March 1865, he began his three-month service as a private in Company H, 143rd Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry during the Civil War.[3]
Jonathan passed away in 1900 and was buried at the Clear Ridge Methodist Episcopal Church Cemetery, Clear Ridge, Fulton, Pennsylvania, United States. [4]
