Mary Jane Anderson was born about 1837 in Pope County, Illinois. She was the daughter of Jacob Anderson and Drusilla.[1]
She married Benjamin T F McCool 14 Aug 1852 in Golconda, Pope, Illinois, the son of Benjamin McCool & Ellen Lawson.[2] Their children are believed to include:

1860 US Census:[3] B T F McCool was listed as 29yo and born in IL. He was living in Pope Co, IL with his wife, Mary J McCool (23; IL) and their children John W McCool (4; IL), James N McCool (2; IL), and Jacob F McCool (0; IL).
1870 US Census:[4] Benjamin T F McCool was listed as 39yo and born in IL. He was living in Pope Co IL with his wife Mary (32; IL) and their children John (14; IL), James (13; IL), Jacob (10; IL), Lydia (8; IL), Amanda (5; IL), and Joseph (2; IL), The household also included his father-in-law, Jacob Anderson (72; VA).

Mary Jane Anderson McCool died 16 Apr 1909 in Anna, Union, Illinois. She is listed in the Illinois Death Index as having died in the "State Hospital for the Insane."[7]
