Mary Jane Anderson was born about 1837 in Pope County, Illinois. She was the daughter of Jacob Anderson and Drusilla.^[1]

She married Benjamin T F McCool 14 Aug 1852 in Golconda, Pope, Illinois, the son of Benjamin McCool & Ellen Lawson.^[2] Their children are believed to include:
