Obituary

"Dutch Anderson, 70, a native of Castle Rock, died June 14 at his home.

A funeral service was June 20 at New Covenant Fellowship in Larkspur. Interment will follow in Franktown Cemetery. The Rev. Tim Ralph will officiate. Honors were performed by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office and The Franktown Fire Department.

Raymond Louis Anderson was born Jan. 15, 1935, in Castle Rock, the son of Louis Benjamin and Mildred (Flierl) Anderson.

On May 18, 1957, he married Betty Lou Gariner in Palmer Lake. Dutch was a founding member of the Franktown Volunteer Fire Department and, as fate would have it, the departments first call was to a fire at his home. He was a former 4-H leader, Douglas County Sheriff Posse member, Eagles and Masonic Lodge. For Dutch, construction was his living, but ranching was his love.
