Biography

Andrew Jackson Anderson was born to William Samuel Anderson and his second wife, Acsah Gaither. He was William's 12th child and Acsah's 3rd child. In 1850, they were living in Vansville, Prince George's County, Maryland. The US Civil War occurred in the mid-1860's. At this time, it is not known if he played a part in it. In 1870, he was living with the Sansbury family as a laborer. He married Frances Camilla Johnson in 1876 in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. He remained in Anne Arundel until between 1910 and 1920. It is not know if he played a part in World War I in late 1910. In 1920, he was living in Baltimore, Maryland. He died in 1921 and is buried in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Brooklyn Park, Anne Arundel, Maryland.
