Sir Edward Anderson, 4th Bart. of Broughton, suc. his nephew Edmund (d. 17 Dec 1676), as baronet.[1]
Edward was a younger son of Edmund Anderson 1st Bart. Anderson of Broughton and his wife, Mary Wood.[1] He was baptised on 7 January 1629 in Broughton, Lincolnshire, England.[2]
Marriage
Edward married twice to:
Margaret, d. & coh. of William Cox of Porters in Shenley, Hertfordshire.[1]
Elizabeth, dau. of Sir Anthony Deane, kt. of London.[1]
Cox
Edward's first wife was Margaret or Mary Cox. Their marriage license is dated 31 May 1662.[1] Margaret had two sons and a daughter, but they all died young. Her children were:
William (b. c. 1664, age 5 in 1669 - d.y. 17 Mar 1673; bur. Shenly, Hertfordshire).[1]
Edmund (b. c. 1663/4 - dsp. 17 Sep 1684, age 21; bur. Shenly).[1]
Edward remarried to Elizabeth Deane.[1] She was the daughter of naval architect, Sir Anthony Deane. They married at St Martin Outwich on 26 March 1686.[3][4]
