DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Martha by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Martha:
Anderson-43803 and Anderson-2874 appear to represent the same person because: It appears that the original objection to the merge of Anderson-43803 and Anderson-2874 was over the death date. As it stands right now, both profiles agree on a death date "before 1820." I'm moving the merge back to merge pending state.
Anderson-2874 was given a death date of before 1820 because there is no white female her age in the household of Hardy Wiggins in the 1820 or 1830 U.S. Census records. Do you have a source for her death on Dec 11, 1858 in North Carolina? (She would have been over 100.)
Cindy, Since Martha was born circa 1755, I changed her mother to William Anderson's first wife, Martha Unknown....... he didn't remarry until 1763. I realize you have DNA testing, but perhaps the DNA link is through the father and not the mother????
Anderson-2874 and Anderson-43803 are not ready to be merged because: Sources with detail should be posted before the merge. It does appear the two profiles represent the same person. This discrepancy in death date should be resolved.
Anderson-43803 and Anderson-2874 appear to represent the same person because: I made the other profile and I have DNA connections to her descendants on Ancestry.
Anderson-30415 and Anderson-2874 appear to represent the same person because: Still believe these are the same person, from studying the census records I believe she died before 1820 but couldn't find a source for the conflicting death date on Anderson-2874. However, I would hate to stop the merge and possibly have it "drop through the cracks" just because the death date needs work..... We can handle the death date issue with a note in the biography, if the profile manager for Anderson-2874 has no source at this time.
Anderson-30415 and Anderson-2874 appear to represent the same person because: Same father and husband. In studying the US Censuses, I believe she died before 1820 and didn't live to be 100 years old.
