Walter John Anderson was born about 1860, his birth registered that year in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. He was the son of William Anderson and Allison Grindlay who married in 1858. [1][2]
Marriage. He married Emma Best on 21 December 1883 in Carlton.[3]
Walter and Emma had at least ten children, in Victoria. [4]
Death. Walter died in 1920 in Coburg, Victoria, aged 60. [5]

DEATHS
ANDERSON.—On the 28th January, at his residence, 17 Mary street, Coburg, Walter John, loving husband of Emma, and father of Emmie (Mrs. G. T. Austin), Walter, Stella, Arthur, Percy, Eva, Ethel, Millie, and Bert.
Sweet rest at last.
ANDERSON.—On the 28th January, at Coburg, Walter John, the dearly beloved brother of James, Alfred, Margaret, William, and Alice, late of Carlton.
Burial. Following a funeral service on 29th January 1920, his remains were buried in the Coburg Pine Ridge Cemetery (Independent X, Grave 171). There, in 1935, he was joined by his widow. [7]
