His Obituary states, "Captain with the 3rd Colorado" but we have nothing that calls him Captain only Pvt.

Erick J. Anderson enlisted in the Union on 21 August 1864, he mustered out 30 December 1864. He served in the 3rd Regiment, Colorado Cavalry, Company D. [5]

1870, Erick was married to Fidelia "Delia" Russell (1842-1927) the daughter of George W. Russell.[6][7]
