Thomas Duff Anderson was born on 27 August 1881, son of Elizabeth Ogilvy (McDonald) Anderson and Thomas Anderson.^{[citation needed]}

He married Julia Russell in 1908 in Victoria, Australia.^[1] Their children were:

• Thomas Anderson (1908–1986?)^[2]
• Isabel Ogilvie Anderson (1911–1974)^[3]

Thomas died on 11 November 1962 in Mordialloc, Victoria, aged 81 years.^[4]
