Biography

Elizabeth (Anderson) Pickering was born in Yorkshire, England.

Elizabeth Anderson, daughter of Timothy Anderson and his wife, Mary Milner, married James Pickering, son of John Pickering and his wife, Ann R Warley, at Helperthorpe on 17 December 1838. ^[1] Like her father her husband was a shoemaker. At first Elizabeth and James lived with her parents^[2] but by 1851 they were established in their own home. ^[3]
