Biography

George Ferris Anderson was born to George Anderson and Priscilla Harrison in 1876[1][2][3].
George Anderson served with the United States Army during the Spanish-American War.
Service Started: Jun 13, 1899
Unit(s): 13th Minnesota Infantry Volunteers, Company C, Third Battalion
Service Ended: Oct 3, 1899

He enlisted June 13, 1898[4] and served with 13th Minnesota Infantry; discharged as a Private on October 3, 1899 at San Francisco, California.

George changed his name to Robert Harrison sometime prior to his marriage to Lucy Amanda (Jones) Rabanus in 1913[5][6][7][8][9]. Prior to their divorce in 1922[10][11], they had three daughters:

  1. Alice Hester b. 1913[12]
  2. Louella Esther b. 1915[13]
  3. Verna Irene b. 1916[14]
In 1923, he remarried to Carrie Marie (Kastl) Dittmar[15][16][17][18].

He was a chicken farmer and a bootlegger, under his alias Robert Harrison[19][20].

In 1949, he changed back to having his name as George Ferris Anderson and he and his wife Carrie enter into the Retsil Veterans Home in Port Orchard, Washington[21].

George died in 1965[1][22][23].
