Lawrence Peter Anderson was born on December 18, 1880 in Århus parish, Vor Frue, Århus, Denmark, son of Anders Johan Andersson and Maria Catherine Nicholine Larsen.

He immigrated to the United States.

Lawrence (22) married Ruth Annie Bjerregaard (21) on May 25, 1903 in Manti, Sanpete County, Utah.^[1][2] They had children.

1. Ruth Anderson was born November 10, 1903.
2. Lawrence Anderson was born April 30, 1905.
3. Melba Joy Anderson was born September 7, 1906.
4. Lena Mabel Anderson was born January 2, 1909.
5. Ruby Grace Anderson was born September 16, 1912.
