Immigrated to Nova Scotia in 1832 [5] with 2 Children: Andrew Anderson (1830-1911) and Janet Anderson (abt.1832-) landing in Pictou. Andrew being a miner came to Sydney Mines on Cape Breton Island at some point Andrew became the underground mine manager in Sydney Mines. The next 11 children were all born in Sydney Mines.
By 1871 he was living in Cow Bay and working as the Mine Manager
